The Trindade Community was born in the heart of Salvador as a shelter and a place of new beginnings in the old Church of the Holy Trinity, located in Água de Meninos, on the outskirts

✨ Closing of the Month Dedicated to Seniors at CSLS ✨
October was a month of celebration, sharing, and learning with our beloved seniors. Every activity, every encounter, and every smile reaffirmed what we have always believed: aging is continuing to grow—in wisdom, affection, and purpose. 🌿 At the Laudato Si Social Center, we learn every day from those who carry the experience of a lifetime. These are stories that inspire, gestures that teach, and looks that remind us of the value of time, patience, and hope. We end this month

CSLS: - the struggle of the elderly for respect and dignity
Wanderlei Marques has been attending the Laudato Si Social Center for a few months. He lives near the Center. At 75 years old, Mr. Wanderlei suffers from unemployment, having been looking for work for over a year since he moved from Araçatuba to Campinas to be closer to his daughter. Even though he is retired, he still feels fully capable of working, but unfortunately, people consider him “too old” for that!

Reception and socialization of elderly people at the Laudato si Social Center
Elizabeth Nascimento Silva has been attending the Laudato Si Social Center (CSLS) through @maemariarosa for a year. At 70, she does not feel the weight of age and does not let the fact that she is considered an elderly person interfere with her quality of life. The only change she would make in her life if she could would be to study while she was still young!

special day at the Madre Maria Rosa Social Center
October 6th is a special day at CSMMR, as it is the feast day of Mother Maria Rosa, founder of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary. This year, the children and teenagers watched a presentation about Sister Maria Rosa's life, colored roses, and wrote messages to her. What most impressed the children and teenagers about her story was her affection for people in socially vulnerable situations and her struggle to provide them with a good education.
