WHO takes care of THE CAREGIVERS?

In May, as we turn our attention to the care provided by mothers, we are invited to broaden our perspective:
Who supports, on a daily basis, those who provide care?
And we’re not talking about financial support, but emotional and professional support. We’re talking about a sense of security in moments when everything seems to be falling apart and there seems to be no solution to the daily problems faced by vulnerable families.

In the projects supported by ABMTHS, care is not an isolated act—it is a living network, built by educators, families, volunteers, and entire communities. These are people who, often quietly, dedicate their time, listening, and presence to transform realities.
At the Madre Maria Rosa Social Center, this care manifests itself in the support provided to children and adolescents, but also in the support offered to their families. Behind every child served, there is a story, a mother, a caregiver who also needs to be seen, supported, and empowered.

This approach is expanded through initiatives such as Espaço Viva Mulher in Feira de Santana, which works directly to empower women in vulnerable situations. By offering support, guidance, and pathways to self-reliance, the project cares for those who are often the primary caregivers within their families.

Caring for those who care is recognizing that true social transformation only happens when it reaches everyone involved.

More than just offering opportunities, the projects supported by ABMTHS build connections. And it is these connections that sustain lasting change.
That is why ABMTHS reaffirms its commitment to every person who is part of this network. Because caring is a collective act, and it is through this act that the most profound and necessary transformations are born.
