Trindade Community – A new beginning for homeless people
An abandoned church and a pilgrim who chose to live among the homeless people of Salvador, Bahia. This is how the Comunidade da Trindade (Trinity Community) and the Levanta-te e Anda (Get Up and Walk) Project were born, which today are benchmarks for work that goes far beyond social assistance. The Trindade Community was born in the heart of Salvador as a shelter and a place of new beginnings in the old Church of the Holy Trinity, located in Água de Meninos, on the outskirts

✨ Closing of the Month Dedicated to Seniors at CSLS ✨
October was a month of celebration, sharing, and learning with our beloved seniors. Every activity, every encounter, and every smile reaffirmed what we have always believed: aging is continuing to grow—in wisdom, affection, and purpose. 🌿 At the Laudato Si Social Center, we learn every day from those who carry the experience of a lifetime. These are stories that inspire, gestures that teach, and looks that remind us of the value of time, patience, and hope. We end this month

CSLS: - Every stage of life has its beauty!
Deize de Jesus dos Santos Godoi attends the Santo Agostinho parish group and also does crafts at the Laudato Si Social Center. At 66, she is bursting with health and energy, and is always smiling, happy with life! She believes that this is the secret to living better in this moment, which for many people can be challenging: - Seeing the beauty in every stage of life, always with great joy! And to get through this new phase, faith, exercise, and friends are indispensable.

Seed Recognition Workshop 🌱
Generating knowledge and interest, sparking curiosity about the incredible diversity of nature and the cycle of life—that is the goal of this workshop at the Nossa Senhora do Amparo School. Amid colors, aromas, shapes, and textures, seeds reveal secrets about plants, their ways of existing, and how they contribute to our existence. A sensory and educational experience that invites children to learn about and appreciate nature through seeds—the true guardians of biodiversity.

CSLS: - the struggle of the elderly for respect and dignity
Wanderlei Marques has been attending the Laudato Si Social Center for a few months. He lives near the Center. At 75 years old, Mr. Wanderlei suffers from unemployment, having been looking for work for over a year since he moved from Araçatuba to Campinas to be closer to his daughter. Even though he is retired, he still feels fully capable of working, but unfortunately, people consider him “too old” for that!

🎨HANDS THAT TURN ART INTO SOLIDARITY
✨ The talented participants of the Arte de Viver craft class put their hands to work and created beautiful hygienic caps for the CSLS solidarity kitchen. With dedication and care, they worked for two weeks to achieve an impeccable result. All the materials were kindly donated by volunteer teacher Adriana — our heartfelt thanks to her! 💛 #LaudatoSiSocialCenter #ArtThatCares #SolidarityInAction #HandmadeWithLove #VolunteerWork #TransformingLives #ABMTHS #CSLS
