On a joyful Sunday 15 years ago, a ministry committed to the poor, the invisible, and the marginalized of society was born: the Monsignor Jessé Social Center (CSMJ).
In this short period of time, changes have occurred, spaces have been expanded, services have multiplied, but the love, care, and attention given to each homeless child who knocks on the door of this house have remained the same.
As it debuts today, the CSMJ brings varied movements to this dance of life. Many challenges have come. Losses of beloved children, a pandemic, among so many other hardships. However, trust in Divine Providence has never been absent. Thus, resilience has meant that in this dance, sometimes we bend close to the ground, and sometimes we rise up to the sky.
And with this desire to achieve and anticipate here on earth a little piece of heavenly paradise, we want to ask God to invigorate with courage, determination, and love all those who make CSMJ happen.
And may there be another fifteen, thirty, fifty, infinite years of love and giving to the poorest!
Long live the Centro Social Monsenhor Jessé!
