Nos meses de setembro e outubro tivemos 11 encontros, todos presenciais, mas com os cuidados ainda necessários por conta do COVID-19. Trabalhamos o raciocínio lógico através de exercícios, a persistência na busca pelos objetivos, a comunicação e o início da preparação de um currículo. Levamos os alunos a pensarem nas próprias habilidades e como colocar isso em um currículo, pois a imensa maioria deles não tem ainda experiência de trabalho. Uma das atividades consistiu em “vender” um objeto. Eles deveriam buscar qualidades e diferenciais para que seu produto fosse o escolhido. Nessa atividade trabalhamos o trabalho em grupo, a discussão, a chegada a um consenso, a divisão de tarefas, a liderança e a apresentação em público.
Outra atividade foi trabalhar a comunicação. Alguns alunos ficavam com um desenho e deveriam explicar ao colega como reproduzir esse desenho sem dizer o que era e usando apenas formas geométricas. O colega desenhista não podia ver o desenho e deveria reproduzi-lo através das informações passadas. Depois comparavam os desenhos para ver se as informações passadas foram claras, se houve perguntas para esclarecer a informação e como foi a compreensão do que foi dito. Comunicação não é apenas o que eu digo, mas o que é entendido pelo meu interlocutor.
Todas essas atividades foram desenvolvidas para que eles conseguissem enxergar quais as qualidades que eles mesmos têm e como colocar isso de forma que um empregador pudesse se interessar por elas e os contratar. Iniciamos a confecção do currículo na sala de informática, onde também muitos deles aprenderam a usar o Word e o próprio computador. O 1º currículo deles começa a ser desenhado.
Em breve teremos algumas reuniões com uma empresa parceira que trará a visão do mercado a respeito de currículos, entrevistas e o universo do trabalho. Todas os encontros terminam sempre em um delicioso lanche. Ainda não podemos comer presencialmente, então os alunos levam seus lanches para casa.
My 1st Curriculum: SOMAR Brazil
In the months of September and October, we had 11 meetings, all in person, but with the necessary precautions due to COVID-19. We work on logical reasoning through exercises, persistence in the pursuit of goals, communication and the beginning of the preparation of a curriculum. We get students to think about their skills and how to put this on a resume, as the vast majority of them don't have work experience yet. One of the activities was to “sell” an object. They should look for qualities and differentials so that their product was chosen. In this activity we work on group work, discussion, reaching a consensus, division of tasks, leadership and public presentation.
Another activity was working on communication. Some students were left with a drawing and had to explain to their classmates how to reproduce this drawing without saying what it was and using only geometric shapes. The fellow designer could not see the drawing and had to reproduce it using the information provided. Then they compared the drawings to see if the information given was clear, if there were questions to clarify the information and how was the understanding of what was said. Communication is not just what I say, but what is understood by my interlocutor.
All of these activities were developed so that they could see what qualities they themselves have and how to put it so that an employer could be interested in them and hire them. We started preparing the curriculum in the computer room, where many of them also learned to use Word and the computer itself. Their 1st curriculum starts to be drawn.
Soon, we will have some meetings with a partner company that will bring the market's view regarding résumés, interviews and the world of work. All meetings always end with a delicious snack. We still can't eat in person, so students take their snacks home.
