Fé, uma pequena palavra, mas com significado e força enorme. Ela quem direciona a vida de milhões de pessoas pelo mundo, assim como a vida da Irmã Carla e do Padre Edward, nomes que representam a Comunidade Deus e Nossa Senhora (CDNS). Seguidores de Dom Hélder Câmara, um grande defensor dos direitos humanos, que juntos atuam diariamente guiados pela fé e pelos ensinamentos do Dom.
Servir ao próximo é servir à Deus, diante disto, a Irmã Carla lembra do trecho de uma canção, de autoria de Jorge Pereira Lima, muito cantada por Dom Hélder e que representa muito o trabalho da ONG. “Nós cantávamos assim: Eu acredito que o mundo será melhor, quando o menor que padece acreditar no menor”, isso é o que a Comunidade faz, ela acredita, acredita que pode ajudar as pessoas, leva-las para um caminho melhor, dar a elas não só o peixe, também ensina a pescar.
A fé do Dom, da Irmã Carla, do Padre Edward, e de todos que fazem parte da ONG, sempre foi o combustível da CDNS, pois através dela tudo foi feito, desde a sua fundação, em 1980, e cada e projeto por ela proporcionado. Desta forma mais pessoas são alcançadas, pela Comunidade e pelo dom da fé.
Faith: fuel for life
Faith, a small word, but with enormous meaning and strength. She is the one who directs the lives of millions of people around the world, as well as the lives of Sister Carla and Father Edward, names that represent the God and Our Lady Community (CDNS). Followers of Dom Hélder Câmara, a great defender of human rights, who work together daily guided by the faith and teachings of Dom.
Serving others is serving God, in view of this, Sister Carla remembers an excerpt from a song, written by Jorge Pereira Lima, often sung by Dom Hélder and which represents a lot of the NGO's work. “We used to sing like this: I believe that the world will be better, when the smallest who suffers believe in the smallest”, this is what the Community does, it believes, believes that it can help people, lead them to a better path, give to them not only the fish, he also teaches them how to fish.
The faith of Dom, Sister Carla, Father Edward, and all who are part of the NGO, has always been the fuel of the CDNS, because everything has been done through it, since its foundation in 1980, and each and every project by her provided.
