Ninho da Esperança (Nest of Hope), located among the poor and violent neighborhoods of Jardim Angela and Jardim Sao Luiz, SP offers valuable free service for children, adolescents and adults with intellectual, physical and multiple disabilities. Together with many members of their own families, volunteers and qualified professionals, a network is formed to provide diverse socio-educational activities, occupational therapy and a caring environment to strengthen those who are marginalized by their disabilities.  


Basic Aims
Ninho da Esperança guarantees the basic human rights of the disabled person and his/her dignity through the development of a “safe space” for the practice of social inclusion, participation and sharing.


Specific objectives
To develop sociability, independence and autonomy; 

To sensitize community groups and government agencies about the rights and needs of people with disabilities.

To deconstruct myths and prejudices about disabled people.
