Founded in 2002, Colégio Mão Amiga is part of the Mano Amiga Federacion, an international institution that provides education opportunities that serve as a catalyst for community transformation and inclusive growth.  It focuses on the development of each student in three dimensions: as an individual and as a member of both his family and community.

The school is situated in the low-income region of Santa Julia with an approximate population of 20,000 people, 12kms from the center of Itapecerica da Serra in the state of São Paulo.

Colégio Mão Amiga currently serves 500 children between the ages of 4 and 17 years old, offering a strong academic curriculum supported by extra curricular activities, family support, and the development of important core values.
